Not sure how true the above statement was in relation to our golf but maybe some of us did start the month like a lamb and finish like a lion !!
Several matches were played in March and scarely enough some of these were counters.
Still rusty after our winter hibernation ,we turned out in force and put on a good show.
Our first competition on the 1st of March was a fun competition !! This was organised by Mary and immensely enjoyable although frustrating as we were restricted by the "fun rules" only allowing us to use irons on some of the holes. Thanks Mary ,for organising this fun event.
This was won by Hazael who is really a dab hand with her irons!
Our next was the SLGA medal held on the 8th of March . This was won by Reggie .
On the 15th of March Sandra was delighted to win the first round of the Fullarton Quaich and cutting her handicap with her excellent scoring. Way to go Sandra !! Great start to the season.
The following week on the 22nd March Marion Smith won the Bickets Trophy. Well done Marion.
The above matches were the ones played on the Wednesdays. The same matches were also played on the Saturday by the Saturday girls and I look forward on my next blog to updating you on those.
