Alec got off to a good start taking the first 2 holes while Callum was showing some early nerves.
Once Callum settled the game became close with many halved holes and some good putting from both players.
At the turn Alec had a 3 hole lead and he only lost one hole before closing out the match at the 15th hole after Callum just came up short with his putt giving Alec a 4/3 win. Well done to both boys for a good game.
Blair got off to a solid start with 3 pars putting him 2 up after Cameron dropped a couple of shots early on. A birdie at 4 followed by pars at 5 and 6 saw Blair go 4 up. A great up-and-down from the bunker at 7 helped Cameron stay within reach of Blair who was putting together a good round. Cameron struggled at 8 to go 5 down but holed a great birdie putt at 9 to see Blair lead 4 up at the turn. Cameron closed the gap to 3 as Blair made back-to-back bogeys at 10 and 11 before restoring his 4 hole lead at 12. A poor drive at 13 for Blair resulted in Cameron once again winning a crucial hole to stay in contention. Both players hit terrific drives at 14 to set up two eagle putts but both missed to keep the score at 3 up to Blair. Cameron hit another great drive at 15 and both players left themselves short putts for birdie. Blair lipped out as the nerves began to show leaving Cameron with a short putt to bring him right back into the match. Just like Blair he lipped out and the match went to dormie 3. Cameron composed himself to strike a good drive up 16 however Blair also hit a good drive. Both hit the green with their approaches but Cameron was unable to hole the birdie putt and Blair closed the match out 3&2 with a par. Cameron put up a good fight after a challenging start but Blair was the deserved winner on the night who is now going for the treble in 2017.
